Catherine's Teaching
Serving Carroll and Howard Counties, Catherine is a passionate educator with 20+ years of experience teaching beginning to advanced students.
Catherine offers high-quality lessons for students in a positive environment, nurturing a love of music and facility through technique. Whether a student wants to simply enjoy playing an instrument or they’re driven to achieve more, Catherine will support their journey. She believes that learning an instrument provides a child with a friend for life. Music lessons should be joyful, but they also build character - teaching students the benefits of thoughtful, consistent daily work.
Catherine has extensive pedagogical training including traditional and Suzuki Methods. Her students have routinely made top seats in the Baltimore Symphony Youth Orchestras and Howard County GT Orchestras.
Catherine's Offerings
School year lessons run from September through May. Students are guaranteed 32 "lessons" in that timeframe including private individual lessons and a combination of events like recitals, ensemble rehearsals and rehearsals with a pianist. Students attend a minimum of 6 lessons in the summer, which are purchased individually.

30-Minute Lesson Package - $150 monthly
45-Minute Lesson Package - $215 monthly
60-Minute Lesson Package - $280 monthly

Catherine offers lessons out of her home studio in Marriottsville, Maryland - conveniently located for students in Carroll County and Northern Howard County.
